AMVAC, IIL officials visit Haryana & Uttar Pradesh to meet farmers

With an aim to better understand the innovation requirements of Indian farmers, a team of top officials from the American Vanguard Corporation and Insecticides (India) Limited (IIL) visited the areas in Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh and interacted with farmers.

The team from AMVAC Chemical Corporation USA is in India to hold a high-level meeting with their Indian partner IIL, a BSE and NSE listed manufacturer of agro chemicals, to discuss and explore further areas of collaboration.

The representatives of the American team who visited included Mr. Ad de Jong, Managing Director of AMVAC Netherlands BV, AMVAC’s Netherlands-based subsidiary; and Mr. Igor Polishvayko, Senior Manager International Business. IIL MD Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal was also part of the IIL-AMVAC delegation.

The visit to was part of the IIL-AMVAC team’s efforts to better understand the requirements and needs of the farmers for achieving better farm results.

“The visit was part of our efforts to understand the ground situation and the needs of our farmers in crop protection and related areas. I am sure our interaction will go a long way to help us and our colleagues at AMVAC to engineer better products to suit their needs,” said Mr Rajesh Aggarwal.

American Vanguard Corporation is a diversified specialty and agricultural products company that develops and markets products for crop protection and management, turf and ornamentals management and public and animal health.

AMVAC’s insecticides Nuvan is already a popular household name in India, especially in the northern market. Under a new technical collaboration between the two companies, the product will be now manufactured and marketed by Insecticides (India) Limited.
